"I was so happy to receive the net. It meant a lot to me, it meant the end of malaria to me. Thank you nyo (so much)"
Jessica Namyala

“We are so thankful for everything. You can’t believe when Ivan and Brenda came for their net at my place they were so happy. Like everyone was saying goodbye mosquitoes! Thank you so so much.”

She also wanted us to share this story with you:

“Around my house we use to stay in a swamp area, and that was what my mum could afford. I remember when I was 15 years old my brother died of malaria. The boy died in my hands as we were going to the hospital. It was so painful and during those days we had so many mosquitoes. We lose too many people a day to malaria and my brother was one of them. Thank you little sis and all of your friends. Love you nyo nyo”

Christina Carver, from AZ, was in Uganda when the nets were handed out. She said this: “I know the people were not expecting it! There were some cheers & clapping of hands when they heard they would each be able to have a net. I think they were quite blown away that EVERYONE would be getting one. It was quite a scene to see them being carried in! As excited as they were- especially the children they sat patiently as the nets were passed out. Everyone was smiling & happy. The children held tightly to their new prized possession & talked excitedly with each other. I don't think you will fully realize what an impact you have made here. What you have done is more than give them nets & a better chance of staying healthy. Know the smiles were a mile wide- even if you can't see it in the pictures!”
